Who Is My Mother?
Mothering happens in obvious and subtle ways.
As we journey through life, we encounter spiritual mothers who nurture and encourage us,
enabling us to become a deeper version of ourselves.
Who has helped birth you into new life?
Through scripture, story, song, art, prayer, silence, and small group discussion, we will remember and honor these faithful,
courageous and audacious women who gave, continue to give, us life.

This retreat is open to all women whether or not you have birthed or nurtured children in your home.
We believe that we are all called to the sacred work of mothering and birthing life.
Please be mindful that this is a contemplative retreat and we will keep silence in the house except when we are in group sessions together.
The weekend is designed to offer you space and time to nurture your body, mind and spirit.
All of your meals are included. There are six private rooms available and two double/shared rooms.
Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.
If you need to cancel prior to January 15 and we are able to fill your spot, we will gladly refund all but $50 of your registration fee.
After January 15, we are unable to offer any refunds.
Our retreat leader this year is Rebecca Husband Maynard.
Rebecca is an ordained minister in the Baptist tradition who, after many fruitful years as an associate pastor,
left to begin a ministry that focuses on providing spiritual formation opportunities.
Through Stacking Stones Ministry, she offers
retreats, spiritual formation events, Labyrinth events, and spiritual direction for individuals and groups.
She and her husband Mark reside in Thurmond, NC.
Together they have four married children and two grandchildren.
